The Many Missadventures of Busy Lizzy

Day One
So, after having a mommy breakdown from moving my cleaning supplies and the vaccuum from room to room trying to keep up with Lizzy's messes and dissasters (and trying to keep my sanity) day after day, I decided that it would be more fun to document it for the viewing enjoyment of all. I'm so greatful that we are renting right now. There is no hope of getting these carpets clean or salvaging a good majority of our window blinds. The day before this picture, Lizzy decided to take Christopher's baby powder, diaper paste and ezema lotion and see what it would do if they were all combined in his laundry hamper. Full of clothes. After dumping and squirting half of it on the carpet first. Needless to say it wasn't so bad finding just a bunch of powder all over the carpet and closet floor. It was when I started looking for the bottles that I started to suspect more hanky panky and couldn't locate them until I glanced in the hamper. I should have gotten some pictures, but I was pretty seething mad and hadn't quite hit the "oh well, what is one more disaster" phase until the next day.

Day Two
This is after I had closed the door to my room and told her to stay out of the craft box for pre-school. It was just too good of a temptation I guess. Inside the craft box is a little box filled with 12 bottles of beautiful, sparkly glitter. Well, I guess it was like waving a red flag in front of a bull, because it took her about 6-8 minutes to dig through the container, locate it and dump each and every one of those bottles on the floor of the closet. She knew that the poo had hit the fan when she heard me coming because she had closed the closet door to hide. You see, Lizzy being quiet for more then 5 minutes when she is not watching TV is a bad thing. At least I know I can prepare myself for the inevitable now. Unfortunately, half of the glitter was outside the closet so she didn't get to hide for long. Poor dad. It was his side of the closet and that manly pack will most likely be be-dazzled for the rest of its existance.

Here are the brides maids all lined up and ready to recieve the happy couple.

She even dyed the shoes to match the dresses. They were such a beautiful bunch of girls. They looked like fairies when they were dancing around the grassy meadow.

Each dress was fully lined with a petti coat, matching belt and matching buckle. Only one of the seven dresses needed to be altered from a girl that was out of town because she had lost weight. They looked as nice on the inside as they did on the outside.

I saw a pattern for these and couldn't pass it up! I made these out of left over fabric from my husbands pirate costume. The fabric is fake suede so it has that kind of leather look to it. I knew I was keeping those scraps for some reason...

I can't wait until he fits in these. They are going to be so cute! I'm going to make him bear ones next.

Here is one of the newest baby items that have been very popular! I made a set of these for my friend that had twin girls. I reversed the second one so the fabrics where inside out. So cute! There are matching bows on the straps for a little extra cuteness. I can't wait until she gets these!

The fabric is cut in a complete circle with slashes in the sides where the car seat handles go so baby is completely covered from wind, rain, sun and germs when you are out!

I made this one for Christopher out of out door fabric. Its great because the water literally rolls off of it! I'm going to start making lots more of these for up here in the NW!

I put a button accent on the handle for cuteness even though its held together with industrial strength Velcro.

The Gabby
This silver and pink dress was designed with a sleek cross front. It is encrusted with strands of crystals at each shoulder gather. It has a built in petticoat and a removable sash.

The back bodice was constructed from a vintage pattern to create the gathered shoulder seam. Her hair piece was constructed of the same materials as the dress to create a perfect match.

This is by far the most popular dress I've made so far. It is the EMILY.
Created from heavy french lace it gives the bride an elegant vintage look and feel.

With a neck line that sweeps the nape of the neck, no zipper is found on the back of the dress. It is placed on the side of the dress as the vintage patterns call for.

All scallops are hand placed for that perfect shape and look.
The skirt of the dress boast about three yards of lace and fabric its self. The dress V's down into the mermaid style bottom as the bottom V's up into the upper skirt.

The sash is placed below the bust to elongate the slender figure and add a splash of color.

This jacket is called the JENNIFER.

It was designed to compliment an all tulle wedding gown.
It is a white satin bollero with two overlays of tulle.

It is edged in a tulle ruffle to create a daintly and feminine look. She had many people ask her where she got her dress! It matched so well.

This dress is the ALYSSA
It is a delicate beaded English lace jacket over a timeless A-line dress.

Each scallop is brought together with a satin covered button to clasp this reverse jacket down her back.

Here you can see it is fitted to the hip and gently bells at the elbow.

The scallop edge rises up along the neck and dips in the front to reveal the V in the dress.

Here is the French bustle in the back of the dress, echoing the elegance of the whole dress.
